AIX locked account

I am looking to monitor whether a local account is locked on an AIX box. The only way I know to do that requires root access, which I am not going to get. However, I can't really make sudo work from a template. Any thoughts on monitoring for locked accounts?

Using SUDO within a Linux/Unix application template is possible, provided of course you include this as part of the script that is executed. However, I wonder if there's a better approach, such as using syslog to notify you when and who is locked out in real-time. If you do decide to use the Linux/Unix Script monitor in SAM for this, ensure the script executes properly on the AIX host outside of SAM before attempting to run it as a monitor. Removing SAM from the equation should help significantly in the troubleshooting, and fine turning the script. If you need assistance I recommend posting in the where it's likely someone has already done something similar.
