NCM Inventory: Exclude ISDN Interfaces

I have a network which contains a number of ISDN interfaces for backup circuits.

I currently have an Inventory running nightly that does "All devices on the network".

I got a phone call from the manager saying that something (after investigation NCM) is firing up the ISDN lines every night around 12 (the time I am doing the inventory)

I have tried a few things and have a few thoughts on how to handle this but before I spill my thoughts I though I would get the community feedback/ solarwinds feedback as to how others are doing this or how you would suggest excluding only the ISDN interfaces.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you need to state that traffic from the orion box isn't interesting, i guess it's trying to reach / scan the subnet at the other end of those isdn interfaces, either remove the destination subnets so the orion doesn't want to look at that subnet or set a route / acl on the isdn routers to state that orion shouldn't be allowed to go out the isdn.

this could become quite costly if it's connecting them all the time !

I'm assuming the ISDN interfaces are being managed in Orion and NCM. If you don't need NCM to include them in your backup, you can try unmanaging the interfaces in Orion.
