VM polling - error in XML document?

Has anyone seen this before? What does it mean and how is it fixed?

Error while polling VMware device - There is an error in XML document (7, 783256).

Hello,

We saw this issue when customer upgraded vCenter from 2.5 to 4.0. The vCenter sends the response in blocks, so it looks like the sending was interrupted. Please look at the vCenter log if contains following entry:

[2011-06-03 10:13:10.564 05484 error 'App'] [VpxVmomi] Exception while sending result: Invalid argument
