Network Performance Monitor (NPM)
Orion Database Full
alij
Hello All,
I am facing a problem which is that ORION NPM has stop collecting data since last 24 hours, Probably i think database is Full, i am using SQL Server Desktop edition which has 2 Gig capacity. when I click to see stats for any device it says no data for selected time period while it shows stats for previous all dates.
Someone please tell me how should I take Backup of exisiting Database and then delete it so that it can start collecting data again? Please write back urgently.
thanks,
Ali

What about running the SolarWinds Database Maintenance? Compact your DB etc and see if that helps.

Also, if you really think you are out of space, before you run the database maintenance go into "Orion System Manager" - File - "Network Performance Monitor Settings" - and turn down the "Daily statistics will be deleted from the database after" to 7 days. Then run the DB maintenance utilities. When they are complete you can turn the "Daily statistics will be deleted from the database after" back to something more reasonable.
