Green, Yellow & Red not showing when collapsed as expected

In the All Applications resource, I have them grouped by Level 1 = Application Template, Level 2 = Node Name, Level 3 = None.

Two of my templates are failing and so show red and the parent, in my case the Application Template name, shows yellow. I would prefer this to show red.

I also have some other templates which are unmanaged and the templates and their server name correctly show the blue cross, but the parent, the Application Template name, shows yellow, but I would have expected green.

I was looking for the APM equivalent of the best case, worst case, show red at n failures, I but can't find it.

Any pointers please?

I'm testing on an eval bundle of Core 2010.2.0, APM 3.5, NPM 10.1, IVIM 1.0.0

Hello Robert,
in APM 4.0 which is now in RC there is a new "Dynamic Service Groups" feature that could help you to achieve exactly what you need with failover nodes. You can see some description here and here.

Maybe you would like to sign up for RC to test it.

If you have an eval bundle, you should contact your sales rep or engineer and they will get your questions addressed.

Settings > Web Console Settings > Status Rollup Mode: Show Worst Status

That may be by design. I understand your viewpoint, however. Let me ask dev and get back to you.

Many thanks, I must have been having a silly moment
The red rollup now rolls up red - perfect.

The unmanaged roll-up is to check whether services are running on Exchange CCR cluster members & so determine whether a fail-over has occurred. The NOC should see that everything is green, but the passive members needs that template to be unmanaged. At fail-over, I've written a process to re-manage/unmanage to make it monitor correctly again, but the NOC must be able to see green or it wont be obvious if anything else has failed. I cant trust them to look at alerts! Once these tests are working OK I'm going to transfer them over to our live Orion farm.
