Scheduled jobs - Adding nodes

Is there an easy way of adding nodes to a scheduled job? In my case, I pick "Select Nodes Directly" and then the node list is displayed. But as the groups are not in alphabetical order, it's really hard to find the devices I wish to schedule jobs on.

Is there a way of sorting the list?

Just thought I'd close this topic. I ended up removing the groups in NCM so now all the nodes were in alphabetical order and easy to find.

This should be possible

Each NCM config job creates a JOB config file and in this file is the command set to perform as well as the list of nodes to action the commandset against if you have specified some nodes initially when creating the job via the NCM scheduler.

It would seem you would need to know the NodeCaption and the NodeID to add the extra Nodes to a scheduled task, you could use something like PERL todo this for you.

What i would do is write a program that takes a list of devices as input and the CONFIG job id to adjust, it then goes off and gets the NodeId's from the NCM database a rebuilds the job config file and adds the extra nodes that you want but leaves all the other config paramaers for the job intact. So in effect it recreates the CONFIG JOB with the extra Node data. I have not tested this but one way is to manually edit the file first and add an extra NodeCaption and NodeId and then test if that works then you are in business.
