Adding & Removing Devices in NCM 7

Hello,

First of all, I am really glad to see the NPM/NCM integration - it looks like a really positve step forward.

I am having a couple of problems which I havn't been able to find answers to on thwack that I am hoping somebody can help with:

1) I have added a couple of Windows servers to NPM using network discovery. For some reason these devices have also been added to NCM, which I don't want (for licencing reasons as much as anything else). When I try to remove the node from NCM it loads NPM in a web browser. How can I remove the device from just NCM? I can see all the NCM settings in the "Node Properties" page of NPM, but there is no option to remove it from NCM.

2) I have a network switch in NPM that I could now like to add to NCM. Again, I would expect there to be an option in "Node Properties" of NPM?

I am obviously missing something, thanks in advance.

Go to your NPM website

Click on the up right side where it reads Settings

Click on NCM settings

Go to the NCM Node management section and click on Add or Manage Nodes

From here, you can select the individual nodes and either Add to or Remove from NCM.

A tick box in node management would be a nice addition in the next release

But this doesn't seem to actually remove the nodes, just unlicenses them. How can I completely remove the node from the All Node - Tree section?

You are talking about NPM, the above question is about removing and adding nodes in NCM.

To remove a node in NPM, just click on Manage Nodes, find the node you're looking for and tick the box. Then just click on Delete.
