Network Performance Monitor (NPM)
merging mssql DBs from different sites
alain_mig
Hi all,
I'm trying to set up a system like:
Primary site : one SL500
Secondary site : one SL100
network link between the two offices are too thin to use a remote poller, but we wish to
centralize data to the main office.
So the solution seems to merge DB from secondary office to DB from primary office;
as I understood it you need to make sure that first node ID attributed in secondary site
is set to something like 1000000 so to make sure ID's from both DB won't overlap.
But it seems it is not as simple as changing nodeID of the first entered device..
Anything else to think of ? Does any one knows of a whitepaper or some tech document
that would cover this kind of operations ?
Thanks in advance
Alain
