Monitoring RF Devices - Windows CE and/or Android

Not sure if Solarwinds can do this but we have hand held scanners used in a warehouse for picking.  Right now most of them run Windows CE but we are moving away from that to Android OS.  Can Solarwinds do any kind of monitoring of them - we don't need up/down but more of what is going on inside of them.  I don't think we can but figured someone might have been creative and configured something.

Did some googling and it looks like there are a few projects that port snmp to android,  once you have it running on your scanners then there's not much difference between them and any other Linux based node. Depending what you want to see you might need to extend the snmp oids, which I haven't attempted on android but under the covers it's essentially Linux. Would just need to develop command line scripts to collect whatever extra info you needed like counters of scans or whatever you have in mind.   Try it out and let us know what you come up with?
