Network map per group?

Hello

We are using groups to group together the nodes in each of our 8 critical sites which seems to be working well.

I have also created a network map for each of the same set of sites to illustrate how the nodes connect together.

What I would like to do is have some sort of custom view so that when you click on a group, it has the specific network map for that site there.

You can easily have a custom view to show a single network map but this has to be the same map for every group, we need a different map view for each group we have.

You will not be able to do this with a Group Icon. What you will need to do is Create a Nested Map and add the Nodes or Child Groups to the Child Map to be able to show the Map. This way you will be able to click on the Map and it will be able to show the specific location of the Network Map easily.

One other option is to set the one group map to remove nodes that the logged in user is not permitted to see. This will allow you to employ user account limitations to "redraw" the map to show only the nodes or groups that a particular user is supposed to see.

I failed to add that you will need to apply either the "Single Group" or the "Group of Groups" account limitation to the user account. That way when the user views the map on the Group Summary web page, it will not show any groups they are not allowed to see.
