Cisco WLC 5508 in HA Configuration

Hi.

We are soon to deploy some Cisco WLC 5508s in an HA Pair Configuration.  Essentially in HA (SSO) the 2 WLCs become 1 and will have 1 mgmt IP Address also acting as an Active-Passive.  I wanted to see how NPM may handle the monitoring of the WLC 5508s in this HA Configuration.  Will NPM be able to alert or show events for both WLCs or would it only be for the "active" controller?  Otherwise would we need IP and connect the Service Ports on each WLC and have NPM monitor the controllers separately using the Service Port IP Address?  Anyone with any experience with this type of setup?

I'm curious about this too.

I do see in the SSO Deployment (http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/technotes/7-5/High_Availability_DG.pdf) guide that:

When SSO is enabled, there is no SNMP/GUI access on the service port for both the WLCs in theHA setup. And true to form I cannot snmp walk the peer redundancy IP.

So, at the moment, I'm simply using ICMP to verify the standby is "up"

BUT...would love to see how to see more...
