New Server Migration troubles

 Okay so right now we got Orion 8.0.67, running on an older server and we want to setup a new server, with the latest version.

 

I installed MS sql and orion without a  hitch,  I imported the database, and reran the confguration wizard and selected the new database.  

The web part works fine, I can login and see all our nodes,  the problem is two fold.

1 the poller is not updating, 

2 the graph history for the nodes is missing

 

any advice to resolve these issues?

 

Also, I want to add, I almost forgot, I see all the nodes in the web portion, but in the  system manager, no nodes show up!

Update:  I figured out the system manager, I had to go into the polling service manager and move all the nodes over the the new polling server.  Not sure if its polling properly yet, and Im not sure about my graphs but its a step

 More than likely you will need to reassign those nodes to the new Engine ID.

Below is a query you can run to update the NODES table in the database. Make sure you stop all services prior to doing this, as otherwise the database changes will not take.

 
First, go to Start -> Programs -> SolarWinds Orion -> Advanced Features -> Orion Service Manager and stop all the Orion services (you can leave SQL, IIS, and COM+ running).
 
Next, go into the database, select the NODES table, right-click and choose Query.
 
Move the radial button to read/write.
 
Erase the "select" statement written in there.
 
Type in the following query:
 
 Update Nodes*
Set EngineID ='2'
Where EngineID ='1'

 
*NOTE: This assumes that your old polling engine was engine ID 1, and your new one is 2. You should be able to determine the engine ID by going to Start -> Programs -> SolarWinds Orion -> Advanced Features -> Monitor Polling Engines.
 
 
In order for the change to take, you may need to reboot the server. If not, make sure to manually start all the services again.
