Yes, that is an obvious enhancement to the two products.
We are are gathering customer input on what kind of features they would like to see and how the two products should be integrated. Please post your comments here or forward them to Development@SolarWinds.Net

Right-click a node in Orion and choose Run "Config Snippets".

Right-click a node in Orion and choose "Download Config".

Add the "Show" menu from Cirrus when right-clicking a node in Orion.

Adding an Orion REPORT for the inventory of devices managed by Cirrus would be a nice plus. But note the importance of having the views locked down to the same permissions as the Orion User that is logged in. Key to this would be forcing the NAME of the NODE to be the same in both services. So you will have to integrate the Cirrus Service into Orion just like you do wireless and application monitoring. Which would also lead to having them both in the same database unless you placed ties into multiple databases at the same time.

Have a link on the Node Details page in Orion that displays the last downloaded config of the device you are viewing.
If the device is down, you can still view & manually restore the last backed up config.

be able to use macros on the mapmaker pointing to info in that DB - like configs, IP, subnet mask, etc...
