Aggregate b/w or speed on a report
casmith32
I'm trying to figure out a way to show total aggregate b/w or speed for a node or list of nodes. For example, I've got a router with 3 serial IFs on it, each showing 1.5 Mbps as the speed. I'd like to be able to show the following in a single report:
- Total aggregate bytes xmit/recv across all serial IFs/WAN links on that router
- Total aggreagate of max capable b/w - i.e. 3 x T1 should be 4.5 Mbps roughly
- Avg % utilization across those interfaces
I'm trying to show a report on a per site basis, of how much b/w we have at a site and the total avg throughput and avg utilization on a monthly basis. Each wan IF doesn't necessarily go to the same place, they could be spread over a number remote termination points...i.e. PtP and FR link.
Any insight would be appreciated...

Chad,
This shows how to do what you want with Charts:

As for report writer reports, you can assign a custom property to each interface in the group you want to report on. When you create your report, base it only on this custom property. Do not include the nodename or interface caption in the report.
The stats from all the interfaces which are assigned the same custom property, will automatically be aggregated into one figure.
Example:
Using Custom Property Editor, create a new Custom Property in the Interfaces table called "Reports".
In this reports column, assign a description like "Link to Cleveland Sales office" to each interface you want to aggregate into one report.
Now create a report based on the custom interface property "Reports".
