Can APM monitor SW TFTP Server?

Is it is possible? I think the answer is no but wanted to check for sure. Sometimes the TFTP service hangs on our server and we have to stop and restart the service. Any ideas how to do this?

APM can monitor the process/service, but it can not monitor the TFTP protocol itself.

Bump... We'd like to monitor the SW TFTP Server which hangs on occasion but the service is still running.
