Problem to upgrade NPM to v10, becouse of NCM version ??

I try to upgrade ORION NPM to v10, curent v9.5 SP4 but I received info that i should udate my NCM (current v5.5) to version 5.5.2 or later. I did NCM upgrade to v6, but I can not do NCM intergratin with NPM because it is asking for NPM version 10.0 or later. And NPM is not aware that i have NCM v.6 and when I start the NPM update to v.10 I received tha same error that i should to the upgrade of NCM to version 5.5.2 or later.

What should i do to make the upgrade of NPM to v10? How can i make the NPM aware that i have allready instaled NCM v6?

Hi Goran--

Here are the steps you should follow:

Upgrade NCM stand-alone and the NCM Integration Module from 5.5 to 5.5.2. Do this by running the 5.5.2 installers for both.
Upgrade to NPM 10.0.
Upgrade NCM stand-alone and IM to 6.0.

Let me know how that works for you.

Bur according error screen that i received during upgrade of NPM v.10, i need NCM 5.5.1 or later, so I did upgrade to NCM v6.

In the moment i have

NPM v9.5 SP4

and

NCM v6

So i am not in position to follow the steps that you suggest.

Maybe, I can some how do the down grade to NCM 5.5.1, but this is the last thing that i will like to do.

I hope there is some solution with out downgrades.

There are a couple possibilities here:

If you have a full installation of NPM 9.5 SP4 with NCM 6.0, you should only need to complete the upgrade to NPM 10.0. I would be surprised if this is actually the case, though.
If you have NPM 9.5 SP4 with NCM 5.5.1, and this seems more likely, despite any indication of a successful install of NCM 6.0, you should complete the following steps:

Upgrade to NCM 5.5.2
Upgrade to NPM 10.0
Upgrade to NCM 6.0

Please post back with any results or further developments.

Hi,

The problem was that after the removal of 'Solarwinds Orion Network Configuration Manager Plugins' there were some keys left in the registry which refer to NCM 5.5.

After removing of the keys i did successful upgrade to NPM v10.

For removing the keys from the registry I followed Microsoft knowledge base entry:

I have this exact same problem. NCM says it is v6 in the about menu, but the NPM v10 install says I need a version of NCM greater than 5.5.1. What can I do?
