Network Atlas Interface Link Mapping

I've got a map of our WAN but because its managed by a 3rd party I have restricted MIB access and can't use connect Now and what I want to be able to do is draw a link between two nodes and assign either end to a specific interface.

Is there anyway of achieving this without the Connect Now functionality?

Create link between nodes

Open link properties window and it shows the two nodes

Select the required interface from the objects list and drag across to replace one of the node entries, repeat for other end of link if required

Hi Jon,

If the interface is declared in Orion you can drag it onto a map and then use the straight line tool to join this to another interface. If you're missing one of the interfaces, you can even insert a blank element onto a map and then join it to this.

Thanks for the reply, I had already managed to do this but some nodes have 5 interfaces connected to other nodes on the WAN so it would start to look messy or look to small to be of use, what I was hoping for was the same sort of idea but between the two nodes concerned rather than individual interfaces and then select the ends of the link and pick the interface they represented.

I am trying to do something like jonchill but maybe it’s not the same. I am trying to map out our computer room and the links to the MDF and the backbone. I want to connect the server from the computer room to the backbone and on the backbone I want to see the slot/port that the server is connected to.
