Need to monitor a folder in a share on a QNAP storage device for new files being added

Hello,

We have a QNAP device hosting a CIF share for Windows where recordings are dumped into this share.  We need to create a monitor that will alert us if no files are created in this share for more then say an hour.  What would be the best way to create this monitor?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!
