Alert showing Orion is ok

Hi all

I want to create a rule that e-mails me once a day just to say that Orion is ok.

I have tried several thing but they does not seem to work.

For ex. If node is up and "Time of day" is between 8:00 and 8:10. Nothing happens. Tried a rule saying "${TIME} equal 08:00" but nothing happens.

Anybody have a solution?

I needed a alert rule that resets itself also.

What I did was to make alarm rule like: hostname is x and mem.usage is 0

And a reset rule like: hostname is x and mem.usage is > 0 for more then 1 min

Time is between 07:50 and 07:52

First I hade a alert action but it never worked. But when I changed to a reset rule everything worked. So now I'm happy. Now we get a notice every day that Orion is up and running without having to look at it.

Have you added the Orion server as a managed device?

Hello--

You can create a report to do this.

Click SolarWinds Orion>Alerting, Reporting, Mapping>Orion Report Scheduler>Create a New Job.

Hi and thanks

That could work in one way.

But, we have an external program that sends us alerts through sms and we want to send "ok-alerts" though that so we know that one is working also. That can't be done with the report scheduler i think.

We want to send a morning-ok with email and an evening- and holliday-ok with sms.
