Hi,
I have a problem with my startup-config on some cisco devices. If I use the boot config usbflash0:xxx command the NCM can't fetch the startup-config anymore.
Is it possible to change the config path? And where?
Thanks in advance,
HT
Just a question for you on this. I am not sure I am following what is happening here.
You are storing you boot config on an external USB on the router correct?
I wonder if it has something to do with the MIB it is using to pull the startup-config being set to look at flash instead of usb?
You could always check out Cisco IOS MIB Locator</title><SCRIPT LANGUAGE=JavaScript SRC='/ITDIT/MIBS/javascript/mibs.js'></SCRIPT><!-- // BOTTOM HEADER TEMPLATE --><title>MIB Locator - Cisco Systems to see if helps out any.
yes, I store the boot config on USB.
Where could I find the part of the NCM config who is in charge of the "startup-config" source?
Are you sure, that the NCM Function "Download the startup-config" is implemented on such a dynamic way?
I'm not 100% sure I'm completely understanding your question, but I'll give it a shot - The commands issued by NCM to target devices for download\upload\reboot\etc are located in the individual device templates for each device type. Those templates are located in \Orion install path\SolarWinds\Orion\NCM\DeviceTypes. The NCM Admin guide gives some insight on how to modify those files depending on what you need them to do.
