Hi,
I am not able to add Raritan box(Dominion SX16) in Orion 9.1.
Do i need to send .mib file to support for compleing or it is there in mib.cfg of Orion.
I am attaching .mib of Raritan box.
Regards,
Riyaz Khan
Yes, please open a Support ticket if you'd like us to find it automatically. But you can use the Universal Device Poller without having the MIB in the database. All you need is the OID. Enter the OID, and the UnDP can poll it.
But how do i do that without adding device into Orion.
Can anyone send me OID for the same.
Pls find attached file.
Looking at the attached screenshot, you can't add the error because the device doesn't accept the community string of 'public'. A couple troubleshooting steps:
1. Is SNMP enabled on the device?
2. Can you use any other SNMP tools to query the device?
3. Is the device using a community string other than 'public'?
4. Does the device actually support SNMPv2? (We've had a couple issues lately where some device didn't support a particular version, although usually that was v1).
I don't know the specifics of the device, but perhaps some others on thwack have some experience with it?
1. Is SNMP enabled on the device? (how do check this,it is linux box).
2. Can you use any other SNMP tools to query the device?(not detecting other MIB tools)
3. Is the device using a community string other than 'public'?it is public.
4. Does the device actually support SNMPv2? (We've had a couple issues lately where some device didn't support a particular version, although usually that was v1).(checked both).
