Tried logging on the server side and able to do the changes.
Other instance is; another User can unmanage a node before but was not able to do so.
Have you checked the user's Account setup? Has someone changed the "Allow Node Management Rights" to No?
Yes superfly99, those are properly setup. It's weird that another user can do unmanage node... firewall was also disabled, still didn't go through
Can the user still not unmanage the node even when they use the same machine on which the other person can do it?
What type of Account is the User that can't unmanage a node using?
If they auth through an AD group make sure they don't also have an Individual AD account set up. If they do this will take priority over the AD Group, and they could have set up the Individual account to not allow the unmanage ability.
If this isn't the issue are you seeing any errors through the web console?
that I need to check, ill update you.
1st user that can't unmanage node has 2 accounts: individual and via AD... both have permission to manage a node
2nd user - has AD account only and have admin rights
sadly no errors are being shown upon doing the changes.. it just refreshes the page leaving the node to be un-edited
You'll need to work backwards and see when the user can unmanage a node. Even try creating a new account from scratch and see if it works for them. Maybe the user in question belongs to more than 1 group.
First disable the group(s) and then play around with the user's settings till you get it working. I tested a user with the below settings and I was able to unmanage a node. The account I was using was a Solarwinds account (rather than an AD account or group account).
Hi Guys, thank you for the help on this one.
The reason this is happening is due to Time Zone.
The server time is set to GMT. My local time is based on UTC+4. Any changes I made will reflect after 4 hours.
I even tried unmanaging node locally based on the GMT time zone and changes reflected right away.
This solved this issue. Again thank you for your assistance.
