Remote Desktop and logging into the Orion server

OK, I am sure there is a discussion on this topic out in Thwack world but I need help finding it.

My problem is logging into the SolarWinds application via remote desktop into the server.

I want to add a module and upgrade a few others.

It just sits there. Put my Login name and password, hit enter .......crickets..............ok what am I doing wrong?

Everyone told me this was going to be easy.

So, you cannot RDP to a windows 2012 host?

Disregard SolarWinds, you have a Windows issue.

What is the error you receive? Do you get an hour glass?

Can you hit an Admin$ share remotely?

Is 3389 open?

is it a vm? If so open a console and make sure RDP is enabled. I had this issue the other day on a 2012 server.
