To import network Performance Monitor nodes To network Configuration Manager

I have installed Network Performance Monitor version 9.5 and it is working ok . I also want to run Network configuration manager to all these devices as well . Do I have to add all these devices one by one or can I import these devices from Network Performance monitor ?

It is very easy to import nodes from the Orion NPM database into the NCM database. You do it with a scheduled job in NCM. The job will allow you to import the nodes and custom properties you choose during the job setup.

Two tips you might appreciate later.....

1. If you use Custom Properties in NPM (I always recommend it), then take the time to create the same properties in the Settings menu of NCM before you do the node import. That way, you will be able to map the custom properties in NPM to the same property in NCM. Note that some of the properties will already exist as default custom properties in NCM, though the name may differ slightly.

2. You can then set up another scheduled job to import nodes and/or properties on a scheduled basis to keep the databases in sync.
