trouble with app alerts

Hi All,

I have an alert set to notify me when any application goes down. Well I wish to exclude two servers from this list and I have set the parameters as follows:

Trigger alert when all of the following apply:

Node Status is not equal to down

Status is equal to down

Trigger alert when none of the following apply

node name is equal to server1

node name is equal to server2

I am still receving alerts from these servers..what gives?

The problem is probably with the use of "none". What are you trying to accomplish with that clause? If you want to alert for any server except Server 1 or Server 2, then change it to

Trigger Alert when all of the following apply:

node name is not equal to server1

node name is not equal to server2

I guess I thought that using "none" and then having the lines reading node name is equal to server1 was the same as what you said i should put. I will try yours and see what happens!
