What's best to use for monitoring OWA - Microsoft Exchange Outlook Web Access?

We have the need to monitor the availability - sort of like a User Experience - for our Internet-side of Microsoft Exchange's OUTLOOK WEB ACCESS.

Is there a preferred APM template available or can anyone suggest a good way to monitor this so we know it works passing email?

I may be wrong here but I thought the best way to test OWA would be to authenticate to it. The actual processing of e-mail isn't handled by OWA unless you're talking about the communication that occurs between OWA and the mailbox servers.

Assuming authentication is all that's needed to test OWA, would the HTTP Form Login template work for this scenario?

We do it with just the canned http form login monitor.
