DNS UDP monitor error

Hello,

We are getting an error on our DNS Monitor - UDP that "The return code is different than expected." This is causing the application montior to show down. This DNS server is isolated from the internet. I am sure DNS is working correctly becuase I can resolve names to IPs.

What does the DNS monitor query for? Is is a specific record? Can this record be added to our DNS file?

 We query the target names for the AName of a.root-servers.net.  We parse the response to validate that it is DNS, but we don't do anything with it as long as it is valid DNS.
