False Alerts from VM machines?

We have configured an alert for the reboot of a server. We have received handful of alerts that fired due to reboot of a virtual machine. On the Solarwinds console we can see the last reboot as the same time as alert was fired but when we look into the server log, server shows up and running for last 37 days. What can be the reason for these false alerts?

What attributes are you using to define the alert? Also do you have all of the VM's managed in NPM as well as the ESX host?

I am not sure about the attributes. Can you please elaborate this?

Yes we are managing VM and ESX hosts in NPM as the same time.

We are looking for the trigger condition from the Advanced Alerts tool.Probably a screen shot of the Trigger conditions page should work.
