Is it possible using Orion and/or APM 1 to report on unexpected server reboots?
I would like to be able to have a report which will show, if any, any unexpected Windows server reboots within the past 24 hours.
In both the Basic and Advanced Alert Engines, there are built-in alerts on any reboot. You can modify to filter out known reboots.
Thanks Denny for the reply. What I was looking for was a 'report' that I could run nightly reporting on unexpected reboots (mainly from Windws servers) in the past 24 hours.
I started to look into this further and not sure if there is a filter in Orion 8.5.1 to filter out 'known' reboots. How does Orion know if it is a known or unknown reboot unless it can see the Windows event log?
I was thinking you could filter by time, if you have predictable maintenance windows.
