I want to create a view for one sql server.
How can i select the name of sql server??
I want to add sql agent job status and most expensive queries to it.
The first thing to do is create an account which is limited to a single node (assuming you want to see the server details as well as being able to look at the application installed on it). The following steps assume you're logged in as a user with Admin rights.
NB: The video will explain things such as customizing menu bars, specifying views for application types/summaries etc, but to test if leave everything as the defaults and then log in with the new user, you should only see the one server and the applications on it.
I hope I understood your question correctly, and the above helped you. If not, let me know and I'll try again
EDIT: THIS VIDEO explains how views, resources and tabs are used to construct custom views for accounts, and should help you further.
Why not use the native Application Detail view for this SQL instance?
