Error when setting up Exchange Appinsight

Hi All,

Hope someone may be able to help by letting me know what the attached error means when setting up our Exchange server for monitoring via the AppInsight for Exchange?

Currently polling via WMI and after adding the node it shows as the application being down.

When clicking on Microsoft Exchange it prompts for the attached configuration box.

When choosing Configure Server it thinks about it for a while then responds with the message.

I have made sure the credentials are in the admin group on the server but still no joy.

Just wondered if anyone has come across this before?

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you running SAM 6.1.1 or are you still on SAM 6.1?

Yes the version of SAM running is 6.1.1

When looking into the reporting page for the Exchange AppInsight it gives the following messages ...

I'm guessing it is a credential related issue but, i have made sure that the user account is a local admin and its also in the Domain Admin group.

It would appear based on the error that the account that you are using may be a member of a great many groups or some kind of nested group membership loop exists for this user. Regardless, it would appear to be a bug in the "Configure Server" button when it's attempting to validate permissions. You can try creating a different user account for the purposes of monitoring with AppInsight for Exchange, remove your existing account from any unnecessary groups or groups of groups, or open a case with support so we can identify the exact cause of the issue and hopefully fix it.
