Plans to add SHA-2 capability to NPM?

Does anyone know if there are plans to add the capability of NPM to monitor devices with SHA-2 (or even SHA-3)? I have Linux systems which do not do SHA-1, which is bad enough, so I am forced to use MD5, which very soon security will tell us we have to stop. At that point I will lose any monitoring capability for those systems.

I will add this to my request to have SNMPv3 added to Storage Resource Manager.

For those of us in a secure environment we are constantly struggling to remain compliant with our security requirements. We need forward progress on the security front.
