How to exclude 'No Change' in NCM Change Report

Hi,

We have NCM v6 running in our network and we scheduled it to send Change Report Daily. How do you customize the report for NOT showing 'No Change' and 'No Config from the report? ..If this cannot be done directly using NCM, do have any tips of doing it?..Using SQL perhaps?

Hi Nazri - I have this a feature request. For internal folks it's FB#12629. Perhaps the community can chime in with a workaround!

Been a few years, did this ever get solved? I do see a "Only E-Mail results if this Job encounters an error during execution" but I don't think that really solves this.

What I'd love to see is the e-mail display just the nodes that had changes with the changes made.

How often do you backup your configs? If daily then this may work for you.

I get a Changed Config report as part of my backup of the configs. (see image below)

Basically I backup the Starup config first, then an hour later I back up the Running configs and as part of that task I compare the Running config to the Startup config. The email I get only shows those devices that have changed and what the changes were. I do this once a week. I also have Realtime Change Notifications turned on so I get emailed on the fly when any config gets changed.

But this is probably also just a workaround rather than a fix.

That actually sounds pretty good. I'll goof around with that. We were just doing a weekly startup and a daily running. Comparing the running to the previous running config, using the startup as a sort of baseline for the week.

I am still setting up compliance reports, once I'm done with that I am going to start looking into turning on Realtime Change Notifications. Was it pretty simple to set up?

Yup Realtime Change Notifications is really easy to set up. Just follow the instructions and you should be right. With the latest version they've made it easier to setup than previously. Just make sure all your devices send their syslogs to the Orion box.
