Application Component License

I installed the SolarWinds App and Network monitor. Ran the discovery, etc. and created 2 Exchange monitors [2007, one for Edge Trans and the other for Mailbox, etcx]. I saw all the available services being monitored, and it worked well. I noticed that the Node didn't have SNMP setup, so I tried to change the setting, but it didn't work. So I deleted the Node and re-added. Now the App monitor states that that "Due to licensing constraints, the APM monitor is not actively retaining data from this monitor".

Did I remove it incorrectly? Do I need to create a new database?

If you deleted the node you will need to recreate the Application Monitor as well. If you have already done this, you might try restarting the Orion Module Engine service.

Thanks for the quick reply. I did recreate it. I went in, and added the node, assigned the node to a new application template, and stopped/restarted the Module Engine with the same result.

Weird. Are these the only two component monitors you have setup? If you go to APM Settings | License Summary, what license count values do you see?

I see this:

Allowed Number of Component Monitors:		50
Total Number of Component Monitors:		127
	Licensed Component Monitors:	50
	Unlicensed Component Monitors:	77
Available Component Monitors:		0

So I guess I have too many. I'm not sure what changed though? I am monitoring 2 Exchange servers, and 2 Oracle. Does each one of the items within the template count as a monitor?
