Kenson (http://www.kenson.co.uk) offer, with solarwinds approval, certified training in the UK and have done so for 18 months

Funny you should ask about certifications. We (SolarWinds) are considering plans to offer official SolarWinds certifications. One thoughtis to have a 3^rd party proctored exam that tests for general networkknowledge, network management, administration and troubleshooting as well as some SolarWinds specific product knowledge.

I would love to get some feedback from you who would be interested in pursuing an official SolarWinds certification. Questions I have are how valuable do you think testing on this type of general networking and network management knowledge is vs. just SolarWinds product knowledge. Additionally, should there be more than one level or type of certification? I would also love to have your suggestions on some benefits from SolarWinds you would like to see once certification is achieved.I’m thinking definitely a special Thwack badge!

Please let me know your thoughts.

I would be down for any certs that SolarWinds would offer, would there be one per product that is offered? Would there be different levels like the Cisco certification paths, Ass./Pro/Expert?

If for no other reason than to bring closure to this thread, I'll note that SolarWinds now has the SCP certification (SolarWinds Certified Professional). Training for SolarWinds can be accomplished through Corona Technical Services.
