Using APM to auto re-start a unix service

Hello,

I wanted to check if any of you is able to auto restart a unix service / process using APM. Is there a similar application like APMServiceControl.exe used to auto restart Windows services available for Unix?

I'll mark this is a feature request. If anyone has crafted their own restart script for Linux/Unix, I think we'd all still like to hear about that too.
