Hi,
I am in the process of creating a post support procedure for the replacement of one of a switches at any one of our 1100 retail locations. The plan is to have our ISP router at each site to have a DHCP helper that points to a central DHCP server, that server will provide a new switch with an IP, default router, bootfile and TFTP file. I have the DHCP pools preconfigured on a central router but am having an issue when it comes to keeping a central repository of configurations. We have NCM 7.1 and backup all configurations nightly but I would like the latest configuration to be exported to the TFTp folder d:\TFTP. I have looked at the config archive and export option but I can only get it to export with d:\TFTP\$(switchname)\$(date)\ which doesnt work for obvious reason.
Is there a way that I can export the configuration of a switch into a folder and override the older configuration nightly?
Thank you very much for your help.
Also on a side not I am also looking for a way to generate a large ammount of cisco switch configs from a few dynamic variables, if anyone has a script or program that will help I will be greatly appreciative.
Thanks,
