HTTP Monitor throws 500 error

I'm trying to set up a basic HTTP monitor check for a website. I have the URL set to "http:// ${Node.Caption}:${PORT}/" and when I run the test against it it fails with the error "Test failed with "Down" status on (SERVER NAME). Remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server error." I've tried browsing the same URL on the poller and it works without issues. Does anyone have any ideas?

Do you have multiple polling engines? Also, when trying to access this URL from the Orion server using Internet Explorer does the URL redirect you elsewhere? Also are you sure you are using the node's caption when testing in Internet Explorer? It sounds like you may be using host headers on that web server and the Node Caption is typically the nodes short/NetBIOS name. Is there any reason you aren't using ${IP} or ${Node.DNS} instead? I recommend trying both of those and see if they return the sam 500 error.

Yes we have additional polling engines. I logged into the engine that the server was set to and tried to hit the URL through IE and it worked without issues.

I just tried using {IP} and {Node.DNS} as suggested and both came back with the same error (500 - Internal Server Error)..

I'm sorry, but its been been 3 years ago since this issue popped up and I don't remember.
