Hello,
Use of Network Performance Monitor with our Brocade fiber switches has brought me here. I'm pretty sure I've gone through the proper steps with MIBs, etc as all Brocade switches in our environments have been added and are visible from our centralized NPM console server and I"m able to pull up Node, Sensor, Connectivity, Interface Utilization Details, etc, via SNMP. At this time there are really only two things that our org really cares about receiving alerts for at this particular time and that is when a interface goes offline (whether from a host reboot and fiber port on switch goes offline or or SFP actually goes lights out, etc) and interface utilization climbing over a certain amount.
I'd like alerts to be broken up per envirvonment, per switch and per port. For example:
Development / Fiber Switch A / Port 6 offline
Test / Fiber Switch D / Port 10 over 90% utilization
Are there any trigger condition language I should be using in particular for these two types of alerts? I've been playing with different trigger condition language and have been rebooting a teat host on a fiber switch to generate a port offline alert but with no luck.
