Windows 2008 64 Bit

I've just tried installing 9.5 on 2008 and it tells me it needs to install some SQL clients and server bits which is fine until I look down the list and noticed that it wants to install both the x86 and 64 bit version.

Why? Surely it only needs the 64 bit versions?

Can anyone explain for me?

Since Orion is still a 32-bit application, it needs the 32-bit versions of DLL's to be there. So why are the x64 needed? Being on an x64 Windows install and talking to SQL Server requires some of the x64 pieces(like the native client). In order to get everything up and functioning correctly, our dev research(and QA testing) showed that both were required.
