Monitoring Exchange Mailbox

How do we monitor that a new mail has arrived in a Mailbox in MS Exchange 2010. Do we have any variable to find out that option ? Can any of you help

SAM is able to monitor that the email system is working by sending a message and retrieving it via common protocols such as POP3, IMAP4, MAPI, and Exchange Web Services. AppInsight for Exchange can also monitor the usage of a mailbox, such as the size and number of messages contained within the mailbox.
