Network Atlas Imported Icons - how do I delete them

I have been copying Visio stencils into Network Atlas for use on my maps however in some cases I had to modify them again in visio to get them to a size that was workable, consequently I have a number of similar icons. How can I delete the ones I no longer need, I have looked in the folder where I thought they would be located but they didn't have the names I had assigned, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

if you pasted the pictures right into map, the pictures are here:

c:\Documents and Settings\<account name>\Application Data\SolarWinds\NetworkAtlas\Maps\Orion\<orion server address>\NetObjects\Imported\

Use thumbnails display mode in explorer to browse for the files you want to remove.

I saw another post about this a couple of months ago. I'm trying to find it now, but I'm having a hard time finding it.

If I remember correctly, you have to remove them from the database, as they are no longer stored in a folder, like they were with map maker.

Maybe someone else can find the post, or can repost the method to remove the icons.

I am afraid that the easiest way to do that is to find the pictures you want to delete and add ".del" extension to them (so for instance mypicture.gif is renamed to mypicture.gif.del). Then start Network Atlas and the pictures should be deleted from the database.

Unfortunately I can't do it this way as I mentioned in my original post I can't find any files with the names I assigned to the icons, its as if the application has changed the names or encrypted them. Surely someone must know how to do this, why are the simplest of things so hard on Orion. :-(

I have found them and I can now tidy up the folder.
