We are moving to SAM from Server Vantage. As I am discovering servers into SAM, I am not having the option to select Hardware Sensors like with NPM. Is there somewhere I have to enable it in SAM.

I presume that you have SAM v. 5.0 or higher. Older versions of SAM do not support Hardware health monitoring. The Hardware Health sensors check box will be present only if the discovery process was able locate hardware health polling capability on the target server. This is depending on manufacturer. We are currently supporting IBM, Dell and HP servers. Also this is dependent on polling method chosen for the server. The node must be SNMP or WMI. Also please check if the credentials for given node is correct. Also on the servers must be running an agent provided by Manufacturer of the hardware which is responsible for supplying information's which we are looking for.
