Statistical Data

Where actually does solarwinds store statistical data. What I have done is wrote an SQL statement that pulls information out of a database then puts it into the solarwinds database to monitor traffic and I would also like to summarize the statistical data with a report, but I cannot find the data anywhere in the NetPerfMon database. I want to generate a report for 5 minutes, 1 hour, and 1 day of data. Thanks.

Hello,

The historical data for components that return statistic data are stored in APM_PortEvidence_Detail/Hourly/Daily tables. You can use APM_PortEvidence that combines these tables.

So you can use following SQL command to get the data. There are Min/Avg/MaxStatisticData columns that contain statistic data.

    n.IP_Address AS IPAddress,
    app.Name AS ApplicationName,
    cmp.Name AS ComponentName,
    cs.TimeStamp AS TimeStamp,
    pe.*
FROM APM_PortEvidence pe
INNER JOIN APM_ComponentStatus cs ON pe.ComponentStatusID = cs.ID
INNER JOIN APM_Component cmp ON cs.ComponentID = cmp.ID
INNER JOIN APM_Application app ON cmp.ApplicationID = app.ID
INNER JOIN Nodes n ON app.NodeID = n.NodeID
ORDER BY cs.TimeStamp

We actually have a view that is created to assist you in creating reports rather than having to join multiple tables.

Try using this view:

APM_AlertsAndReportsData

That looks like all current information. I am wanting something where it stores historical statistic data.
