SQL Server upgrade for NPM

Question

Hi,

I'm planning to upgrader my NPM from 12.1 to 12.2.

my SQL database is running on SQL server 2008 and as you now NPM 12.2 doesdn't accept it anymore.

I will move the SQL database to a SQL server 2014.

Did anyone do this? any tutorial for how to stop NPM services, backup/restore the DB on the new server?
