"Windows Update monitor" misreporting 43843 'days since last update'

Hello everyone,

We've recently made use of this template, and very pleased with it, apart from a number of outliers that are misreporting.

The servers in question have all recently installed updates, but the counter value is initially detected as '43843' and then increments by 1 each day thereafter.

Has anybody else had this problem, and if so, did you manage to fix it?

Could you share where you got this template from? It doesn't appear on the default template list. If it was from THWACK, share the link to the thread, and I'll take a look at what it's doing.

It's a default template that can be found under 'SAM Settings\Manually assign application monitors\Show Only=All\Windows update monitoring

The default template is using powershell to poll this information, if you run the script directly on the machine to the outputs match? It looks like it's querying the local update information and just processing the date from that.

If the outputs don't match you'll want to check how the monitor is configured. Are you monitoring via an Agent? Is the script set to run local or run remote? etc.
