Does NCM have the ability to track inventory to the server level (windows/unix)? If so, what information will it hold?
It can. If I remember right it tracks quite a few things, although I didn't find the things it tracked all that useful! Its been awhile though.
My advice would be to get a demo of NCM and have it inventory a few things to see if it does what you want. That way you can see if it fits for your environment.
