Unable to download configs via the webinterface

Hello everyone,

Recently we are having a problem downloading configs via the web interface of NCM.

We get to the stage where it asks for confirmation that you want to download the config,

but then good luck clicking ok! the message persists, and nothing happens when you click ok. you can click cancel however and it does cancel.

Same thing if we go to the node page, and click download, nothing happens.

We can successfully download the config via the NCM console itself, so connectivity and credentials and even the NCM functionality itself are confirmed.

We tried it from several browsers (IE, firefox, chrome and safari), and all using the admin account with admin privileges to NCM.

Any ideas what could be wrong or how to address this?

Hi Bassem,

What version of NCM are you running? If the latest -- 7.0.2 -- then you should probably open a support case. If something older then consider upgrading to 7.0.2 first.

I ran the NCM configuration wizard, and now i can click ok, but the progress remains downloading forever.

I checked using wireshark, and no transfer was being done.

The transfer is still working via the console.

Can you please look into this case and make sure it was not closed prematurely or inadvertently. It would certainly seem that is rather surprised by its closure.

The case has been close as per formal SLA process. It does not mean SolarWinds do not care about the problem. Please simply re-open the case.
