Can the thresholds on response time be adjusted for the "All Nodes - Table" web resource

Question

I have a status page I've built for one group. There are nodes that show in their "All Nodes - Table" resource with a real slow response time. This is completely acceptable as the nodes are across a Satellite link.

Can I adjust the threshold for the "All Nodes - Table" resource ?

Chris,

To add to what Marie posted, I believe the warning and error thresholds for response time are global values.  There isn't really a way to adjust the thresholds just for a certain group of devices or a certain resource within a view.

You could create a node filter for that resource.  It wouldn't really do what I think you're trying to accomplish though.  You could assign a custom property to all of the nodes that are across a Satellite link and create a filter that hides any node with a response time greater than x and that has a custom property that equals the value you've assigned to those nodes.

Your filter would look something like:

ResponseTime < x AND CustomPropertyName = CustomPropertyValue

I'm pretty sure this isn't exactly what you're trying to do, but hope it helps some anyway!

Here's the information on response time from the Orion NPM Administrator Guide:

Response Time

Monitored devices experiencing response times longer than the value set for the Error Level display in High Response Time reports and resources. Gauges for these devices also display as bold red. Devices experiencing response times longer than the value set for the Warning Level, but shorter than the value set for the Error Level, also display in High Response Time reports and resources. Gauges for these devices also display as red.

Orion calculates response time using ICMP ping requests made on the Default Node Poll Interval. Orion pings monitored devices and records the results of the ten most recent ping attempts. Average Response Time is expressed as the average response time of these last 10 ping requests. If Orion does not receive a ping response within the Default Poll Interval, Orion will attempt to ping the nonresponsive device once every 10 seconds for the period designated as the Warning Interval. For more information, see "Orion Polling Settings."
