HA for Orion AWS

I don't see the option for a feature request under HA on Thwack. But, it would be nice to have SolarWinds HA for an Additional Web Server so we don't have to rely on other technologies. This would especially be helpful for clients wanting to do geographic failover. Has there been any discussions around making this a feature for HA?

Would this not essentially equate to a SolarWinds branded load balancer that would compete directly with BigIP F5, Citrix NetScaler, and AWS ELB?

I don't think it has to go to that level. Just give them the ability to failover using a VIP or virtual hostname just like SW does for APEs and the app server. Not all of the clients have F5's or SAN replication to use clustering services for geographic failover. It has come up with several clients that they would prefer not to use another technology just for their dedicated web servers. More times than not, they would prefer to just use the same type of failover process they use for other parts of the system.
